Tour program:

Day 1^st
Your arrival at Krakow airport, where you are welcomed by our local driver. Transfer to a centrally located hotel in Krakow. Time to relax, private walks. Welcome dinner with our tour guide. An overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2^nd
Breakfast at hotel and your tour of Krakow Old Town. Your tour program includes: the Main Market Square with famous St. Mary’s Basilica and historical trade pavilions of the Cloth Hall, the Royal Route, Wawel Hill with its impressive, renaissance Royal Castle (courtyard) and Cathedral. Later that afternoon departure to Zakopane (called “winter capital of Poland”) located in the Tatra Mountains area. Time for your dinner (according to our tour guide suggestions). Night at hotel in Zakopane region.

Day 3^rd – Day 6^th
Everyday breakfasts at hotel and whole days dedicated for skiing in the Tatra region. Our tour guide /driver will take care of you and will help with all aspects of getting to selected ski stations, renting equipment and purchasing a ski pass covering the entire region. In addition, our guide will arrange additional attractions in the Zakopane region such as a visit to the thermal pools, a sleigh ride with a bonfire and sausage roasting, a dinner with regional dishes with live music by a highland band (extra to pay). Nights at hotel.

Day 7^th
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Drive to Krakow, there visit the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine. This 800 year old salt mine is the oldest one in Europe. We will walk through an underground rock-salt fantasy world and be astounded by the splendid St. Kinga’s Chapel with its hewn salt sculptures and relicts, as well as by the corridors housing the original medieval mining equipment, the post excavation chambers, as well as the subterranean salt lakes. Just after this tour we will got to Krakow to check in at your hotel. An afternoon of relaxationand private walks. Farewell dinner with our tour guide at restaurant in Krakow. Night at hotel in Krakow.

Day 8^th
Breakfast and transfer to the Krakow airport for your return flight.

Transfers from/to Warsaw airport available on request.

  -	Overall organization: The tour was well organized, with a balance of churches, castles, palaces, museums, and outdoor sites such as a national park or archeological sites. It was a good... read more pace, but we were not rushed. We often walked 5-6 miles/day. 

-	Schedule/promptness:  We never had to wait for our bus, guides, meals.  Everything was on schedule. The schedule had appropriate breaks for bathrooms and snacks. 

-	Guides and driver: Our bus driver Robert drove very safely and comfortably; personally he was very courteous and always helpful, and amazing at navigating difficult parking spaces. Witek is a gem – so knowledgeable, patient, cheerful, good attention to detail and followup.  We had complete trust and confidence that he was taking good care of us.  For example, in Turon, when we heard about an evening light show at the Copernicus fountain, he walked with us to make sure we knew how to find it and how to get back to our hotel.  Someone else might just point and say “over there, three blocks.” 

-	Hotels: seemed hard to distinguish between 3 and 4 stars; they were all spotlessly clean, very modern and luxurious, well equipped, good wi-fi, and fantastic breakfasts. All located within walking distance of the old town so when we had time on our own we were not stuck in a place where we couldn’t walk to anything.  We had a triple room, and they were always adequate. 

-	Food: Wonderful. The breakfasts are like nothing I have ever seen (buffets with 60+ items) and the dinners were all good.  My daughter is allergic is poultry and nuts and they made appropriate substitutions for her. 

-	Flexibility in accommodating requests: in Gdansk, we noticed a galleon boat ride around the port and our guide helped us with the tickets and adjusted the dinner start time so that we could all go on it.

  Best. Vacation. Ever.  My 76 year old dad and I just returned from this beautiful country.  I can say, hands down, the trip far exceeded our expectations. ... read more Grzegorz, Witek and Robert planned everything perfectly.  We saw so much yet didn't feel rushed.  Was a good balance between tours and free time.  I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in Poland.  The history there is incredible and we are already talking of another trip with the rest of our family in 2020.  Thank you for the trip of a lifetime.  It was so special for me and my father!  I'm now enjoying putting a scrapbook together of all the fabulous places we visited!!
