Poland in Schengen zone updates !
Poland and 8 other European countries joined the Schengen zone on 21st of December 2007.
That means there is not any passport or valid ID control on land borders between Poland and: Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania.
The passport control existed at Polish airports for next 3 months - till the end of March 2008. Now it's derestricted also at the airports. Anyway it is still obligatory to have a valid ID or passport when you come to Poland for any ocasional controls on Polish territory.
