In the 13th century, on the bank of the River Nogat, the Teutonic Knights began building the world’s biggest brick stronghold. Its inimitable atmosphere, together with the most modem equipment, makes it an exceptional place for conferences, symposia, sessions and official meetings. The Castle Museum contains a modem conference room which accommodates 100 and is fully provided with audio-video facilities, a photo-copier, computer equipment and the possibility of simultaneous cabin translation into several languages. The conference has auxiliary premises such as an exhibition hall, reception room and a cafe. A modern hotel is now housed in the castle’s historic Teutonic soldiers’ hospital.
