The adjacent Augustów Forest is Poland’s largest forest complex with prevalent pine, spruce and fir. The Agustów Canal from the 19th century is an interesting hydro-engineering monument. 18 stone locks enable navigation. The canal is linking all major lakes in the Agustów Region and is forming a water trail. Excellent conditions for pro-active tourists. A water-ski lift is available.
