The Eiffel Tower is only in Paris, therefore, those who wish to enjoy the bird’s-eye view over the city have to reach a viewing terrace on the 30th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science. A multimedia centre of tourist information is also located there. From there enfolds a panoramic view of Warsaw, and one can see how large and green is the city, cut into two parts by the irregular line of the Vistula river. This monstrous skyscraper (234 m), a perfect example of that period’s realistic style, is probably the best example of Stalinist architecture located outside the former Soviet Union.
