Grunwald
The village of Grunwald, to the south of Ostróda, is a small but historically important site. On 15 July 1410, a battle took place here in which the joined Polish-Lithuanian forces under the leadership of King Jagiełło defeated the Teutonic Knights. Each year on the 15th of July the battle is staged here in historical costumes.
