Czerwinsk is a lovely town situated on the right bank of the Vistula River, in the eastern part of Mazovian Province. Czerwinsk is the oldest settlement in Mazovia. It is mentioned in the documents dated back to the 12th century. It appeared in Polish history many times. In July 1410 the huge army commanded by Wladyslaw Jagiello and Vytautas the Great assembled at Czerwinsk. Soon they crossed the Vistula River and marched towards Marbork. Czerwinsk was also the place where nobles were granted the privilege in 1422.
