Day 1 – Transfer from Gdańsk Airport to Hotel in Gdańsk
Arrival in Gdańsk and transfer to your hotel in Gdańsk. Check-in at the hotel.
Day 2 – Full-Day Gdańsk Sightseeing Tour
Breakfast and a full day of sightseeing in Gdańsk. We will begin with a walk through the Old Town, with all its attractions and famous monuments. Next, we will visit sites related to World War II, including the Post Office Defenders Monument and the former Gestapo building. We will then visit the site associated with the first battle of World War II at Westerplatte – a small peninsula located a few kilometers from the city center. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Gdańsk.
Day 3 – Transfer from Gdańsk to Wilcze and visit to the Stutthof concentration camp
Breakfast and departure from Gdańsk in the morning. Drive towards Wolf’s Lair – Hitler’s headquarters and the site of a failed assassination attempt on Hitler in 1944. Along the way, we will also visit the first German Nazi concentration camp in Poland, Stutthof. In the evening, we will arrive at a hotel near Wolf’s Lair. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Visit Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki – Drive to Warsaw
Breakfast and a guided tour of Wolf’s Lair – a hidden urban complex with barracks, bunkers, and two airfields, where Hitler spent a significant amount of time during World War II. We will then proceed to Mamerki (18 km from the Wolf’s Lair) – a small hamlet with one of the best-preserved complexes in Poland, containing undamaged German bunkers from World War II – Headquarters of the German Army (OKH). Where the Wehrmacht was built, about 250 structures were built, including 30 concrete shelters that have been preserved undamaged to this day. Then, travel to Warsaw, arriving in the evening. Check-in and dinner.
Day 5 – Full-Day Warsaw Tour
Breakfast and a full day dedicated to exploring Warsaw. This will combine all the most important attractions with places related to the history of World War II. This day, you will see all the most important sites, including the Old Town in Warsaw, the Ghetto area, and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. In the afternoon, the program includes the Warsaw Uprising Museum, where we will learn a lot about the heroic battles of that period. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Warsaw.
Day 6 – Warsaw – Krakow
Breakfast and travel to Krakow – the former capital of Poland and the country’s second-largest city. Upon arrival around noon, we’ll meet our guide and take a tour of the Old Town and Wawel Hill, where Hans Frank, the Governor of the General Government, held his office. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Krakow followed.
Day 7 – World War II Sites in Krakow – and a Trip to the Wieliczka Salt Mine
This day, we’ll focus on sites strongly associated with the war, including Podgórze – the site of the ghetto, the Schindler Museum, and the Krakow-Płaszów concentration camp. Next, we’ll travel to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, located just 15 km from Krakow city center and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour with a local guide (2.5 hours). Late afternoon, return to Krakow. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 – Full-day trip to Auschwitz and Gliwice
Breakfast and departure for the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps. The tour with a local licensed guide lasts approximately 3.5 hours. After the tour, transfer to Gliwice in Silesia. This is the site of the Gliwice Incident in 1939. It was a provocation – a fake attack on a German radio station by Nazis impersonating Poles. The tower of this radio station still stands there and can be visited, along with a small park and museum. After visiting Gliwice, return to Krakow for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 9 – Transfer to Krakow Airport
Breakfast and transfer to Krakow Airport for your return flight.
