Wrocław has all the assets of a tourist destination – great location, a mild climate, marvelous historic sites and hospitable residents.
Lower Silesia offers a wide range of tourist attractions. It takes just an hour and a half to reach the castle complex in Książ. The castle, with more than 400 rooms, was built in the 13th century, and subsequent conversions only added to its splendor. The building is surrounded by terrace gardens. It is also just a short way from Wrocław to the charming Gothic castle on the water in Wojnowice, the only such castle in Europe. Treasure seekers should go to Złotoryja, where you can pan for gold in the Kaczawa River – One who tries, always finds goes an old Polish saying. The annual contest is held here in May. For their beauty and stately appearance visitors admire the former residences of Silesian aristocratic families in Krasków and Krobielowice located near Wrocław.
Wroclaw region has much to offer but, like most of Poland, it favours the discoverers. The region is rapidly catching the attention of businessmen and tourists alike.
